The Tsara Camp lies in the Tsaranoro Valley with the Tsaranoro Mountain (800m) on one side and the giant mountain chains of Andringitra National Park on the other side. The camp offers perfect comfort in completely secluded settings.
Accommodation is provided in 15 tents, each with a floor space of 16m². Each tent has two simple beds or a double one, bedside-table and possibility to hang up clothes and a table with two chairs. Since this year each tent has his private bathroom with shower and toilet. Electricity in the mornin and evening.
At the centre of the camp a 90m² chalet includes a restaurant, relaxing and sitting area, which offers free tea and coffee during the day.
A full breakfast buffet is served to help keep you fit throughout the day, especially for those who are planing hikes and excursions. Beverages include tea, coffee and hot chocolate are served with bread, butter, jam, honey, cheese, fresh juice, fruits and Malagasy specialties (depending of availability).
For full day excursions with a picnic, sandwiches or a plate and fresh fruit are prepared. Lunch and dinner are complete menus including starter, main dish and dessert. Please inform us in advance if you prefer vegetarian food. The cooking is rich in taste and offers the chance to experience the Malagasy food culture.
What to bring? Trainers, but ideally trekking boots, warm pullovers for the cold winter nights (June-September), sun-glasses, hat, drinking bottle and a torch.
What is provided? Towels, sheets, mosquito spirals, binoculars and a small medical kit.
